Memorial Day Weekend began last Thursday night - I packed my bags and headed up north to my family's lakehouse in Wisconsin.
With 12 friends coming up on Friday, Dave and I prepped for a fun weekend of food, drinks, laughs and sunshine. It really was the most wonderful weekend - the perfect way to kick start the summer season!
We drank a lot of bloody mary's and American brews, enjoyed burgers, brats, bbq chicken, steak, and pulled pork, soaked in the sun, and took advantage of the great outdoors. We went on a walk in the rain, played golf, went fishing, lit some sparklers and had some late night convos around the bonfire. We wrapped up the weekend by stopping by the Stratton's farm where they raise rare Belted Galloway cows from Scotland, that look like giant oreos. It really makes you appreciate escaping the city life.
It was such a wonderful weekend. I wish I could rewind to Friday and start all over again.

I went to Florida for the long weekend (and then some). It was a great way to celebrate my birthday!
