Time

For some reason I am having issues this week, grasping what day it is, what time it is, and constantly feeling like I am in a hurry. I have been super busy at work, and I am trying to play catch up at night while slipping in some me time here and there. Sometimes I need to step back and take a break from the computer. Summer is flying by and looking at my calendar, my weekends are full until Labor Day and my weeks are full of a job that I isn't fulfilling or satisfying. Joy! At least fun weekends outweigh the weeks, right?

However, being that I am unhappy with my current career choice, it makes my actual dreams and direction that much more apparent. I have to say, being a blogger has opened my eyes to so many amazing creative opportunities and allows me to use the part of my brain that I worried was dormant for awhile. So I have to say, being a part of the blogger community rocks. All of you {bloggers, blog followers, readers, listeners, those who comment and those who chose not to} are such a source of inspiration to me.

As summer keeps on slipping by, I am still working on my special project, which I hope to debut in the next month or so {!!!!}, and finding inspiration in the best sources available: blogs!

Also, it is currently 3546816 degrees in Chicago. There is no possible way to look good when it is this hot, or find motivation to do anything except hibernate inside a block of ice. I would love to escape for a few weeks to completely unwind, enjoy a good book, wade in a cool, crisp lake, and relax.

Oh well!

Blogging is what motivated me to quit my job in advertising and go to grad scool for interior design. I love this amazingly supportive world we are a part of! And yes, this weather is YUCK

Your unfulfilling job is just a chapter of your life - sometimes those things propel us onto the next, better thing. Hoping this chapter closes sooner than expected to make way for new, exciting and VERY fulfilling things :)

SO MANY LOVELY IMAGES! Seriously. So many. And yeah, the moment I step outside I'm a sweaty beast and it's gross. Not only is it frickin' hot but it's also humid as humid gets!

Oh, how I can relate to you. We should grab some water sometime. I suggest water because due to the fact that the temp has risen to 456789 degrees, I cannot imagine drinking anything else. ;)

I feel ya on that one, girl! Why does so much of life have to be filled with responsibilities??? I think I need to become independently wealthy so I can do whatever I please (c: Good luck on the top secret project, I'm intrigued!

Diiiitttoooo! I couldn't agree with you more! Blogging has definitely made me appreciate the design world as a whole better and has given me the opportunity to find people I can relate with! It's sometimes very hard to find them in just everyday life! I feel so comforted in reading and enjoying the inspirations all my blog friends come up with, including you, which I am so glad I came across here recently! Hang in there! It's hard to find a job you totally dig in this time right now. But keep up the great work you've been doing here! It's a crucial outlet after a stressful, not so fun day at work! ;)

You are doing a fabulous job here so keep up the great work. I know it's amazingly hard to keep a blog going - esp when you have a no fun 9-5 - but I have a new motto for myself, "as long as it's fun, keep doing it." Have a wonderful & restful weekend!
