Retreating to warmer weather.

I am ditching Chicago's neverending winter weather for some sunny days and 85 degrees! I won't be posting again until Monday morning because my long weekend is going to be full of sunshine, early morning coffee on the beach, bikini's, beach runs, colorful toesies, a rehearsal dinner on a yacht and a wedding on the beach!

However, if you just love me that much and fear that you will miss me while I am away...well don't fret and follow @HelloHappyHaven on Twitter. I'll tweet, tweet you sunny views so you can pretend you are by my side, soaking up the sun!

One last thing, I am having issues trying to decide which dress to wear to the wedding...

The left is an old Milly dress that is so comfortable and easy, breezy.
The right is a new Shoshanna I swooped up, a little more fitted but I LOVE the print.
Thoughts?

Enjoy the rest of your week, my dears! xo

Chicago St. Patty's

Tomorrow, Chicago celebrates Saint Patrick's Day and it is one of the many days that I love living in The Windy City. At 10:45am, city officials take the river by boat and dye our river green in honor of the Irish.  Numerous alcoholic beverages are consumed by people in green, screaming men yelling "Kiss Me, I'm Irish," and little leprechauns bouncing around. We have an eventful day planned out so I plan to begin my morning with a coffee and Baileys and join in on the festivities bright and early. What are you up to this weekend? Whatever it is I hope you have a Jolly Ol' Time!!

my new best friend.

Well, soon to be. Because...my mom and I are going here:

Friday, June 3rd, and we have really good seats. That way, Lea can see me and realize that this frienship of ours was meant to be and maybe pull me on stage for a duet. After this most wonderful night, you will probably see me bff-ing it up with Lea and Dianna.

But don't be jealous, I'll still remember my faithful readers and will talk about you in my US Weekly interviews and Rolling Stone shoots with my new besties.

A Great Time

Sunday was fun! Dave and I woke up, enjoyed some coffee, exchanged our little gifts, made breakfast, and took Webster to the dog park in the 40 degree weather. It was wonderful. It felt like Spring in the city and I was in the absolute best mood, skipping around all day! I did some yoga, got a manicure & pedicure, organized my life, and got ready for our Valentine dinner. I wish I had taken a picture of the image I walked into when I got to Dave's for a glass of wine before we walked to the restaurant. If you could imagine a dark room, one candle, Jazz music, and Dave posing on the couch {fully clothed people} with a cheese platter. It was romantic.

I love you, David. Thank you for making me ridiculously happy.

Thanksgiving & The Engagement Party

Thanksgiving in Michigan was the perfect escape, minus getting the stomach flu, but that was after the food so I still enjoyed myself way more than necessary and got to spend time with Dave's family!

On Saturday, we ventured back to Chicago to celebrate Alex & Tad and their Engagement Party hosted at my house.

It was so much fun to celebrate Alex & Tad with all of our families and friends!
{Our food at the party was done by Truffleberry Market. If you live in the Chicago area and are looking for an amazing catering company - I sincerely, highly recommend. Brittany and her team made this event so unbelievably easy for us and we couldn't have done it without them and their amazing food!}

Sunday was not so fun, Dave and I woke up completely hungover but my mom made us a greasy breakfast and we go to lounge around with my brother and these lovebugs....

Henry is so cute I could eat him up. Goodnight my dears!

A Girly Girl

Lately, I have been itching to break out of my working girl wear and opt for some glittery, night on the town attire.

I have come across a few pictures in the past few days that have me lusting over the sparkles and classic accessories for the winter and holiday season.

I think a girls night is in order, or a hot date with my boyfriend.
And I think Olivia Palermo's wardrobe would accomodate my lusts just fine.
