Sweet Stationary

I can't imagine anyone that doesn't love receiving a card in the mail, especially when it has to do with lovey, love, love. Although this holiday is totally cheesy, these cards are a sweet reminder of why you love the ones you love. I envy the artists who have turned their doodles into adorable stationary for every holiday and everyday, I think that would be a dreamy job. I need to get shopping because this Valentine's Day I have a lot of special people that I need to remind how much I L.O.V.E. them. Happy shopping!

Weekend & Things

Happy Friday my dear readers! What are you up to this weekend? My roommate from college is visiting from Ohio and I am excited to catch up and have some fun around the city. This marathon training is putting a damper on my Saturday mornings and this weekend I have to wake up and face 10 miles along the bitterly cold Chicago lakefront. I was hoping this marathon would help me to lose weight and maybe become vain enough to keep it off, however, my body has other plans and is maintaining the appetite of an elephant. That being said, I am hoping to enjoy a good margarita this weekend - I have been craving one for quite some time and Bailey discussed today how sad she was that she has to put an end to her relationship with margarites for 9 whole months. This sparked my craving even more so I am thinking some mexican fare is in store for tonight. {Sorry, Bailey!}

On a side note, Black*Eiffel introduced me to Design Story yesterday - an e-commerce site full of cool designer stuff for less! It just so happens that yesterday was a wonderful day to join because Rifle Paper Co. was featured and is selling the most adorable Valentines Day {and Everyday} notecards:

I picked up all three of these and can't wait to send them out to friends! Or keep them for myself...Happy weekend!!!

Greer Chicago

Wells Street runs through the heart of Old Town in Chicago and is filled with the most precious shops. If you read my post here, one of my resolutions in 2011 is to write more letters {especially to my grandmothers} and GREER is the perfect shop to pop into to find the perfect little note. The options are endless and not only do they provide chic correspondence, they also design invites, calendars, planners, address books, and everything to keep us organized in the new year! GREER has been featured in Country Living, Chicago Home & Garden, Good Ol' Domino, InStyle and many more. This place is legit.

Although odd, sweet, a little twisted, and sometimes plain, I guarantee you will find exactly what you're looking for. Located at 1657 North Wells in Old Town.

Holiday Cards

I strolled into Papersource today and I am seriously obsessed. It is such a happy, creative environment and the holidays are out in full force. How adorable are these holiday cards? I want to send one to everyone.

Anxiety & Cheree Berry Stationary

Serious major sighs are going on in my brain right now.
It is August 13th, my birthday is in one week, I am pale, my hair is dry, and I have been cooped up inside for the majority of the summer. Remember when you were young and summer's meant no priorities, no alarm clocks, no plans - just constant activity and sunshine and ice cream cones? = sighs and grunts.

My plan for this summer was to spend as much time as possible enjoying the summer sun and all of the colorful beauties of this wonderful season...

This has been so extremely far from my summer reality and my skin looks like an ash tray.

I also had the ambitious idea of throwing a brunch barbeque for all of my cool friends with mimosas, tiny pancakes on the grill, delicious desserts, decorations and even invitations.

Let's just add this to the list of "Summer Plans That Got Away."

But, I have to say. If this bbq had panned out the way I had planned, my invitations would have been sahweet! I would have used chic invitation/stationary designer, Cheree Berry.

Drawing inspiration from her own wedding...

Yes, please.

So now, I have t-minus 2 weeks until September 1. Step one is some sunshine on this pale face and step two is to enjoy this last month of summer weather before the leaves turn and I am walking to work in 5 feet of snow.
What do you have planned for your last few weeks of summer sun?
