Detailed Interiors

I have always been drawn to detailed interiors. I contribute this attraction to my mom, who filled the home I grew up in with vintage treasures, tea candles, and glittered figurines. I think having a mother, who was an interior designer before a mom, made me appreciate the details.

Happy shopping!

Sheridan French

Oh my goshhhh, have you seen the family room of blogger Sheridan French? Not only is she a rockstar mama, but she creates ridiculous interiors {obvi} and fabulous clothes, too. Drew at Coral Cafe introduced me to Sheridan and I can't pick my jaw up off the floor. The neon curtains, patterned chairs, crazy tables, beautiful walls and leopard carpet - swoon.

Her home is featured on the Quadrille website. Check it out, you'll be in awe too.

Pieces

1   2   3   4   5   6   7   8

Pieces is a sophisticated home decor and accessories shop in Atlanta, founded by the creative {and incredibly savvy} Lee Kleinhelter. Not only is this place filled to the brim with ridiculously fab interiors, but Lee & her team create works of art from vintage finds which they reinvent and bring back to life. Jenny pointed me in Pieces direction and I have since set my eyes on a trip to Atlanta to witness this little gem. I am a huge fan of her light fixture inventory, but visit her website to witness some serious color, texture, textiles, and more. Lee's website is a blast to browse and has become my go-to database for future home purchases.

Enjoy!

A Pop of Color

If you have visited before, you know that I am a sucker for a room that packs a punch. I have blogged about colorful rooms here, here, and here, but because I am a renter and my apartment is teeny, tiny - colorful rooms are a distant glimmer of light in my future. In the meantime, I can draw inspiration from these bright beauties and fill my apartment with pops of color and vibrant details!

Clockwise from the top:

What is your favorite style when it comes to interiors? Do you enjoy color or stick to a more neutral scheme?

Wallpapered Rooms

The house that I grew up in had primarily painted walls, aside from my pink and lavender ribboned bedroom wallpaper and circus bathroom. It wasn't until recently that I noticed how amazing wallpaper can really be when a friend decorated her home {page 104} with some seriously fab papers. I love these rooms, and the way wallpaper steals the show. It is a great option when deciding to re-do a room, without paying some serious dollas to reupholster your furniture and alter the makeup.

So I ask, how do you feel about wallpaper? Is it one of your favorite decor details? Or not your style?

Mirror, Mirror On The Wall

Mirrors have to be one of my most favorite interior accessories. I love that they are capable of adding depth to a room, filling up blank space, adding light and pulling more color into a room from items that you already have. They are a great focal point, they create balance, and add a sophisticated edge to any type of interior. There are so many options available when decorating with a mirror - whether it be wall decor, furniture, or lighting - any way you prefer, this look is always glam and extremely attractive to the eye balls.

What is some interior decor that you adore? Do you love mirrors as much as I do?

organization + a home office

This is on its way into my arms. I have always used a Macbook, but I've finally made the move to a bigger, faster Macbook Pro. Changes like this make me wish I could create a dreamy space in my apartment/house and work from home - doing something I sincerely enjoy and entertain you throughout the day. I would absolutely fall in love with the idea of creating a career out of A Happy Haven, but life hasn't led me in that direction just yet. Until then, I will dream of places like this...

Yes please.
